I would like to apply for a post as a
trainee in your finance department. As part of my studies I am required to
carry out a six-month work placement between January and May 2014. I am very
interested in the world of fashion and am keen to pursue a career in this area.
I am 21 years old and am currently doing a
Master’s in Business management at IPAG Business School in PARIS, FRANCE. I
study a wide variety of subjects ranging from accounting to financial
management. I am in the third year and all my courses are taught in English.
I have done a four-month control
management internship at PepsiCo. I was responsible for ensuring monthly volume
reporting and contributing to the financial result for Business Unit. This
experience gave me a valuable insight into the world of work and enabled me to
put into practice some of skills I learned during my courses. I already have an
idea of the commitment and enthusiasm a trainee needs to have.
I feel totally at home with calculations,
figures and forecasts and am able to work both independently and as part of a
team. I perform well under pressure. Moreover, I am hard working and reliable.
As for as languages are concerned, I am upper intermediate in English and have
a good command in German.
